Guide 3 · Earnings
How much do male escorts earn?
The honest answer has two halves. What a client pays per booking is known and published. How many bookings you will get is not, and nobody who claims to know is telling you the truth.
What clients pay
The Men’s Company publishes its client rates. In euros, because the agency is Dutch and its clients are spread across many countries:
| Booking | What the client pays in total |
|---|---|
| First two hours | From around €500 |
| Typical two-hour booking | Around €540 |
| Some escorts, two hours | €600 to €650 |
| Each further hour | From €150 |
| Dinner date | Same as a two-hour booking |
These amounts are totals. They include the agency’s fee as well as what the escort receives. Travel costs come on top and are paid by the client, with fixed amounts inside city regions.
Rates differ between escorts. Yours is set in consultation with you when your profile is made, based on your profile and the clients it is aimed at. There is no single rate that everyone is put on.
What you receive
The agency does not publish how the client’s total is divided between the escort and the agency, so no figure or percentage is given here. You are told what applies to you during the application process, before you commit to anything.
What can be said is how the money moves, because it is unusual and it works in your favour:
- The client pays the agency its fee in advance, at every booking. That applies to regular clients too.
- The client pays you in cash at the start of the appointment.
- No money passes between you and the agency. No bank transfers, no invoices in either direction.
Because the client has already paid the agency before the day arrives, bookings very rarely fall through. A woman who has paid a fee upfront turns up. Anyone who has tried to arrange paid meetings on his own will know how much that is worth.
Why “male escort salary” is the wrong phrase
People search for a male escort salary, and it is easy to see why. But a salary is a fixed amount an employer pays you whether or not customers come in. Escort work has no employer and no fixed amount. You are paid per booking, by the client, and only when you are booked.
That is why any site quoting a monthly or yearly figure for what male escorts earn should be read with suspicion. The only way to produce such a number is to assume a number of bookings, and that is exactly the thing nobody knows.
How many bookings to expect
It cannot be guaranteed, and TMC does not pretend otherwise. How often a man is booked depends on things that only become clear once his profile is live:
His photos. This is the largest factor by some distance. Clients choose from pictures. Good photographs of a man who suits the agency’s clients lead to requests. Poor photographs of the same man do not.
His profile. The text, the target group it is written for, and the rate.
His availability. An escort who can say yes at short notice and is willing to travel is offered more than one who is free on alternate Thursdays.
Whether clients come back. TMC has many regular clients. An escort who is good at the work can build a steadier flow over time than his first months suggest.
After you apply, the agency gives you its own estimate of how you are likely to do. It is an estimate based on years of seeing which profiles are booked, and it is the best information available. It is still not a promise.
A side income for most
For most men this is extra income beside another job, a business or studies. Whether it could ever become more than that in your case is something only time shows. Planning your finances around escort income from the first month would be a mistake.
A sensible way to think about it at the start: assume nothing, keep your other income, and judge after six months what it adds up to in your case.
Costs you do and do not have
You pay nothing to the agency. There is no registration fee and no interview fee, and you are not charged for photos or told to buy anything.
You do have the ordinary costs of looking the part: clothes, grooming, a gym if you use one. Travel for a booking is paid by the client. How the three-monthly health tests are arranged is something to ask about during the application.
Tax
Cash income is taxable like any other. In the UK, self-employed earnings are declared to HMRC through Self Assessment, and that includes money earned on bookings abroad if you are UK resident. The agency does not deduct tax and does not issue payslips, because you are not its employee. The outline is on the page about law and tax for male escorts in the UK.
